Parkersburg Bible College was founded in 1985 by Dr. Joe
Nelson out of a burden for Christian Education. The purpose of PBC is to train
Christian leadership who will be influential in their church ministries.
From 1985 to
1989 the
college was located south of downtown Parkersburg. In 1989 the
college moved to its present campus in north Parkersburg. Over the years PBC has
grown in its facilities, its resources, its branches and its alumni.
PBC is now placing teachers in the hands of
foreign missionary workers. The material has been prepared in a workable manner
that students receive day-to-day lessons that will work into a completed course
unit of studies.
We now have missionaries using
our material in West Germany, and in Russia under the direction of Missionary
Mark Stumbo.
Our Systematic branches have
grown to a total of twenty branches. These include branches in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Canada,
England and around the United States.
